Advanced FUE®

Advanced FUE®

Advanced FUE® is a FUE Hair Transplant process developed by Advanced Hair Restoration over the course of transplanting 2 million FUE grafts. This process involves techniques and protocols of handling grafts, graft hydration requirements, placing strategy, and implementation of the latest FUE technology. Using this technique we have maximized graft survivability (matching that of FUT Linear grafts), reduced the duration of procedures (improving patient comfort and reducing time grafts are out of the body), and have increased the number of viable FUE grafts that can be harvested while still...

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

With Follicular Unit Extraction (commonly know as the FUE method), hair follicles are removed one by one from the donor and placed in the recipient area (top of scalp, hairline, crown). Follicles taken from the donor area (back of the scalp) are genetically immune to the effects of DHT (dihydrotestosterone, the hormone linked to hair loss) and retain this genetic attribute even after being transplanted to the recipient areas. After FUE procedure. No linear scar. After Traditional FUT procedure. Visible scar. When the follicles are removed from the donor, they are typically excised using a...

FUE vs. FUT Hair Transplant

FUE vs. FUT Hair Transplant

Compared to the traditional FUT Strip method, FUE is a newer, less invasive technology in permanent hair restoration. The difference between the two methods lies in the harvesting method. The FUT method sometimes allows for a slightly quicker process of removing a strip of tissue and then dissecting to the individual grafts, but leaves a linear scar. The FUE method harvests each individual graft over a large area and therefore does not leave the long scar. Below you can see several pictures of the FUE donor area and the FUT donor area during the healing process. FUE - Day After FUE 7-Day ...

No Shave FUE

No Shave FUE

The No Shave FUE procedure is an extension of our Advanced FUE technique. In a typical FUE procedure it is necessary to buzz or shave a portion of the donor area (back of the head) where the grafts will be harvested from. The hair then grows back in the following weeks as in a typical hair cut. However, for some people this could pose an inconvenience or reveal that they had a hair transplant. Using the No Shave FUE Process, it is possible to harvest hair from the donor area without having the shave or cut the existing hair. Patients are able to leave the procedure with a greater amount of...

Laser Hair Therapy

Laser Hair Therapy

Hair loss can often be an undesirable aspect of life. Fortunately, with recent advances in technology, there are several treatments that may reduce, prevent, or even reverse hair loss. Low-level laser energy has been found to stimulate hair growth on the scalp to improve hair quality, stop the progression of hair loss, and even promote new hair growth. Although surgical hair transplantation is the only permanent solution for hereditary hair loss in both men and women, LLLT therapy offers help by rejuvenating hair as well to strengthen weak, anemic hair to assist in the fight against...

Scar revisions

Scar revisions

A scar revision is the repair of a scar on the scalp as the result of past "strip" surgery hair transplants, scars from face lifts or any other injury to the scalp that has resulted in a visible and noticeable area of hair loss. The old procedure to correct these obvious scars was to cut them out again with a scalpel, suture the scar back together and hope the scar does not spread again.Seems odd to cause a scar to get rid of one and this effort generally results in limited reduction in the scars' visibility. Not only does FUE not cause a linear scar but we are able to hide other scars by...

Eyebrow Restoration

Eyebrow Restoration

Loss of eyebrow hair can make an individual feel very self-conscious about his or her appearance, and new hair transplantation techniques can often restore the hair. You often don’t realize the full impact that eyebrows can make on the total facial appearance until you see a person without them. Hair transplantation has been used successfully for many years to fill out patchy or partial eyebrows, to restore absent eyebrows, and even camouflage scars within the eyebrow area. Eyebrows provide definition and expression for your face. Whether absent as a result of injury, plucking, or...

Propecia

Propecia

PROPECIA significantly reduces DHT, a key cause of hair loss, by inhibiting the formation of DHT in your scalp. Reducing DHT appears to inhibit the further shrinking of affected hair follicles. DHT is a substance in the body that can shrink the hair follicle until it no longer produces visible hair. Scientists believe DHT and family history are key factors in hair loss. Learn more about the causes of male pattern hair loss. Propecia blocks the formation of DHT and, in this way, appears to interrupt the development of male pattern hair loss. Propecia helps reduce further hair loss and regrow...

Hair Fibers

Hair Fibers

There is a vast array of products targeting hair loss with various claims. One product that our clients are consistently pleased with is hair fibers.
